5 Pizzas you have to try!
These pizzas will have your mouth watering!
When most people think of Cooperstown, their first thought is baseball… but we think it should be pizza! Whether you are a local or stopping in for a visit, we hope you take time this weekend (or everyday!) to enjoy the cheesy goodness that Cooperstown has to offer! Here is this week’s Friday 5:
Pizza to try: Lunch Special
“2 cheesy slices and a fountain drink for $5.00, can’t beat that deal! My favorite is when they take the cheese slices, add more sauce on top and stick it back in the oven!” – Matt H.
Pizza to try: Spring
“A thin crust stone fired pizza topped with leeks, grilled asparagus, goat cheese, watercress, shaved radish and spring peas. This pizza is a veggie-lover’s dream!” -Brenna B.
Pizza to try: Fichi
Fresh made pizza dough topped with roasted red peppers, figs, chicken, arugula, smoked gouda, mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, and virgin olive oil baked in a wood fired oven until perfectly bubbly and delicious, finished with a balsamic glaze. “So tasty you will eat the whole pie and immediately start dreaming about when you can have it again!” – Hanna B.
Pizza to try: Cheese “The Golden Slice”
“There is no pizza better than Sals. People often say New York has the best pizza, and they’re right. Its upstate, in Cooperstown NY. The perfect slice.” -Ben B.
Pizza to try: Caprese
“Flatbread brushed with seasoned extra virgin olive oil toasted then topped with fresh sliced mozzarella cheese slightly melted. We then top with sliced on the vine tomatoes and drizzle pesto and a balsamic reduction. Lightly seasoned with salt, pepper and parsley. This pizza is baked twice, so the crust is nice and crispy and the cheese is perfectly melted!” -Mark L.
