Cooperstown Lake Front – Saturday, June 30th
Pack a picnic and head down to Lake Front Park to catch the fireworks!
Brookwood Point – Saturday, June 30th
Join the Otsego Land trust at Brookwood Point for food trucks, Stewart’s Ice Cream and live music! Event begins at 7:00pm and a $5 donations is suggested.
The Otesaga – Saturday, June 30th
Grab a bite at the Hawkeye Bar and Grill, be sure to make reservations! Or just grab a drink at the Firebar and listen to live music by KMD Band on the lower veranda. Call (607) 544-2524 for reservations.
Glimmerglass Queen – Saturday, June 30th
Enjoy the firework display from the water aboard the Glimmerglass Queen. The boat departs at 8:30pm. Tickets are $25 per person.
Glimmerglass State Park – Wednesday, July 4th
After watching the Springfield July 4th Parade, head to Glimmerglass state park for an evening concert featuring local favorite Scattered Flurries, followed by a firework display. Show up early to get the best view!
Bonus: Brewery Ommegang – Wednesday, July 4th
On Wednesday, July 4th Ommegang is hosting Ray LaMontagne and Neko Case in their summer concert series. At the end of each show they set off an awesome firework display! Tickets are still on sale at dspshows.com.
Double Bonus: Cooperstown Dream Park – Every Thursday!!
Can’t make it to the 4th of July fireworks? No worries! Every Thursday in the summer the Cooperstown Dreams Park sets off a firework display to celebrate the end of the weekly tournament! Dreams Park is free and open to the public if you want to be a part of the celebration. Right next door is Barnyard Swing where you can hangout for a round of mini golf, ice cream and fireworks. If beer and trivia are more your style, Red Shed Brewery is the pace to be! Step out into the beer garden to catch the firework display.

“Each year the Cooperstown Fire Department sponsors the Cooperstown fireworks for Independence Day. This year’s fireworks are June 30 at dusk with a rain date of July 1. The fireworks are paid for entirely with donations. So far, only $2500 of $8000 has been raised for this year. If you appreciate the fireworks and want to continue this tradition, consider a donation to:
