The Cooperstown Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization purposed with exploring educational and grant opportunities for the betterment of our community, as well as preserving the historical character of the Chamber cottage. One of the major projects taken on by the Foundation in recent years is pursuit and execution of DASNY grant-funded improvements to the cottage, which houses both the Chamber and the Foundation, and serves as the Visitor Center for Cooperstown. We recently completed this work in 2021 and encourage you to stop in and visit us to see the transformation!
In 2022, the Foundation completed a Welcome to Cooperstown mural project on the back of our cottage in an effort to help grow the presence of outdoor public art in Cooperstown. The mural celebrates all that locals and visitors alike love about our area, including baseball, the arts, our rich agricultural offerings, the importance of Native American history, and more.
We continuously seek projects that are a fit for our mission. For more information or to suggest an opportunity, please reach out to us at (607) 547-9983.
