2022 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

The 2022 Induction Ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. ET Sunday, July 24, on the grounds of the Clark Sports Center.

Admission to the annual Induction Ceremony is free and open to the public via lawn seating. Participants in the Hall of Fame’s Membership Program at the Contributor (1 seat), President’s (2 seats) or Benefactor (4 seats) levels receive VIP seating with provided chairs. Baseball Writers’ Association of America electee David Ortiz will join Golden Days Era Committee electees Gil HodgesJim KaatMinnie Miñoso and Tony Oliva and Early Baseball Era Committee electees Bud Fowler and Buck O’Neil at the July 24 Induction Ceremony in Cooperstown.

The Induction Ceremony will be broadcast live exclusively on MLB Network.

Tim Kurkjian will be presented with the BBWAA’s Career Excellence Award during Hall of Fame Weekend, and Jack Graney will be posthumously honored with the Ford C. Frick Award. Fans can watch a live simulcast of the Awards Presentation at 3 p.m. on July 23 at Doubleday Field. Admission is free.

The Clark Sports Center is located on lower Susquehanna Avenue, just one mile south of the Hall of Fame. The Ceremony is held rain or shine, unless severe weather forces the cancellation of the event. Professional interpreters will be provided for the hearing impaired.

The Induction Ceremony historically lasts two-to-three hours. Lawn seating for the event is unlimited and free of charge. A blanket or lawn chair is recommended for comfortable viewing. As the weather in Cooperstown can be warm in July, it is recommended that visitors bring a cap and sunscreen.

Merchandise, including the 2022 Induction Program, and Museum membership packages are available for purchase at the Induction site. Refreshments are sold at the site. For information on reserved seating options granted to Museum members, please call 607-547-0397.

Two special paid parking lots will be available only on Sunday, July 24. These lots are located adjacent to the Blue Trolley Lot on Linden Avenue (paid lot is Cy Young Lot) and on Route 33 just east of the Induction Site (paid lot is the Hank Aaron Lot). Trolley service extends to the Cy Young Lot but neither Trolley nor bus service extends to the Hank Aaron Lot.
