The members of Barn Paint Blue hail from the Western Catskills of upstate New York. Grounded in bluegrass instrumentation (mandolin, banjo and guitar), with a beautiful mix of harmonies and acoustics, they expand from the traditional bluegrass repertoire into Motown, R&B, Old-time, Americana, as well as original songs. Performing together locally since 2020, members include Cliff Schadt (mandolin and vocals), Jason Starr (guitar and vocals), Dave Rama (banjo and vocals), and Danny Birnbaum (upright bass). The band has played at many venues across Delaware and Otsego Counties including the Walton Theater, Cooperstown Lakefront Series, The Porch at Otsego Golf Club, City Of The Hills Arts Festival and many more.
