The program is full of season delights, including the Concerto grosso Op. 6 No. 8 – Christmas Concerto by Arcangelo Corelli, excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, Il Tramonto (The Sunset): a rarely performed masterpiece written by Ottorino Respighi, and – to crown the evening – the Serenade No. 3 by Robert Fuchs, which will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression with its cunning use of folk melodies from Central Europe.
