Cooperstown Art Association’s 86th Annual National Exhibit
The Cooperstown Art Association is happy to announce the opening of our 86th Annual National Juried Art Exhibition! There will be a Preview Party on Friday, July 9th from 5-7pm to celebrate the opening of the exhibit. This event is free and open to the public! The National Show will remain on display through August 13th.
The Cooperstown Art Association was founded in 1928 presenting only a single show, The Annual Exhibit of Cooperstown Artists. Since then, this annual exhibit has expanded and evolved into The Annual National Juried Art Exhibition. Now officially in its 86th year, we have been continuing to build this exhibit into one of our largest and most expansive shows – utilizing all three gallery spaces at the CAA.
The show encompasses a wide range of media including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Our 2021 juror, Mary E. Murray, selected entries from across the United States and put together a large, eclectic and stimulating show. This year, we are proud to have 135 artists from 19 states represented in our National Exhibition.
In addition to the National Exhibition, we be announcing this year’s 2021 CAA Art Scholarship Award winner during the awards presentation! The winner’s artwork will be on display in the glass case in the hallway leading up to Gallery C.
This event is sponsored by The Scriven Foundation and made possible through the generous support of our members and patrons. Don’t forget to stop in our gallery shop which features an ever-changing array of gems by member artists and artisans.
