Free Virtual Job Fair: Connecting Employers and Job Seekers in Real Time

The Workforce Development Board of Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties (WDB/HMO) is offering a virtual job fair designed to connect local businesses and job seekers. The online event will take place Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and is free for businesses and residents of Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Chenango, Delaware, and Otsego counties.

(Businesses select: “Organization” // Job Seekers select: “Attendee”)

· Chat directly with local employers through text or video, allowing you to ask questions, learn about opportunities, and make a strong impression.

· Connect with businesses looking to hire across various industries, offering jobs ranging from entry-level to skilled positions.

· Get information from WDB/HMO grant program staff about free training grants and resources to help you advance your career through apprenticeship programs and other job readiness initiatives.

This event is sponsored by the WDB/HMO Regional Apprenticeship Development and Readiness (RADAR) grant program. RADAR plays a key role in strengthening the local economy and fostering long-term workforce growth. The RADAR initiative provides job seekers with free training and apprenticeship opportunities to develop in-demand skills for careers in growing sectors and connects local employers with skilled talent.

RADAR Project Director Sommer Edwards says, “Our region is experiencing an exciting shift as more employers recognize the benefits of hiring skills-based workers from within their communities. Through our training programs, job seekers gain the expertise needed for long-lasting careers. In the past year alone, we’ve seen significant success in placing people into well-paid jobs.
