Glimmerglass Film Days
The Glimmerglass Film Days’ eleventh season, November 9-13, will be a fully in-person festival with their signature combination of compelling independent films, filmmaker talks, art, books, parties, guided walks, and collaborations with local museums, nonprofits, restaurants, and businesses. The eleventh Glimmerglass Film Days will be a time of conversation and conviviality, education and inspiration.
Guided by the theme MESSENGERS, Film Days artistic director Peggy Parsons, programmer Joey Katz, and technical director/programmer Xander Moffat are busy selecting films and inviting the filmmakers they most want to bring to Cooperstown. In today’s world, click-driven content and manufactured urgencies vie for our attention. But what are the fainter voices trying to tell us? This fall’s line-up of films from around the world will introduce you to chefs, writers, farmers, doctors, and entrepreneurs, each with an immersive story that signals a way forward. We’ll also experience examples of perseverance from the natural world.
Along with the best in environmentally focused films, Film Days showcases the beauty of an Otsego County fall and encourages people to shop and dine locally, and to visit museums, galleries, parks, and trails.
