Inaugural Elizabeth Hearn Gleich Annual Lecture Saturday, October 1, 2022 – 3:00pm
Join us October 1, 2022 for Arkell Museum’s inaugural Elizabeth Hearn Gleich Lecture presenting independent scholar and author William Cross. William Cross is the author of the recently released Winslow Homer: American Passage (2022) and the impressive catalog Homer at the Beach: A Marine Painter’s Journey, 1869-1880 (2019); Cross also served as curator for Homer at the Beach (Cape Ann Museum, Gloucester, MA, where he serves as Board Chair). Several years ago Cross traveled to Canajoharie to study Arkell Museum’s Winslow Homer paintings, selecting three paintings from the collection for the Cape Ann Museum exhibition Homer at the Beach.
