All welcome to our holiday season exhibition, Multiples, that features over 60 artworks in all mediums, by five star artists – on view Saturdays 11am-2pm ( 12/7, 14, 21, 28; 1/4, 11. 18 and 25). Compressed into a single heated bay in the winter, the show includes lovely “origami” folded-petal bowls in a range of colored glazes by Cooperstown’s Marcie Schwartzman, who also presents hand-held beaded bowls and two star-studded stoneware “blue orbs’ that suggest the vastness of the firmament as tabletop sculptures; delightful small animal and bird wood carvings by the area’s most famous farmer folk artist, the late Lavern Kelley; his work is in many museums including the Smithsonian; luminous colored glass tabletop “light boxes” by virtuoso glass artist, Trevor Wilson (Hobart), ideal for window ledges to always hold and reflect the light; photographic and haunting ‘seeing-double’ (or triple or quadruple!) by South Worcester/Hudson’s Gail Peachin: see her repurposed vintage photographs of unknown figures that she excises and replaces with abstract art patterns; also on the walls, wild and spectacular upstate landscapes, including moonlight and an eclipsed sun, by Michael Fedorov (Maryland, NY) who previously exhibited a stunning climate change series at the Art Garage. Also on view in the (unheated) Third Bay: olorful paintings and suspended sculptures by self-taught artist, Louis Sherry – a semi-permanent assortment. Located at 689 Beaver Meadow Road, a mile from downtown Cooperstown, the show will be on view through January 25.
