OCCA Meet and Mingle
The Otsego County Conservation Association (OCCA) is pleased to announce its annual fundraising dinner, the OCCA Meet and Mingle, scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, from 6-9 p.m. at Creekside Station in Hartwick, NY. This year’s event marks a shift to a fall celebration, highlighting the region’s rich agricultural heritage and OCCA’s commitment to sustainable resource management.
“By moving our annual gathering to autumn, we’re able to showcase the incredible diversity and quality of our local harvest,” said Shelby MacLeish, Assistant Director of OCCA. “This event is not just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of our community’s dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainable agriculture.”
The evening’s menu will feature locally sourced ingredients, including beef from Sleeping Lion Farm and vegetables from Dreamweaver and Chicory Creek Farms. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a tree identification walk, bid on raffle baskets filled with local products, and enjoy a relaxed evening under the stars.
“The Meet and Mingle is a crucial event for OCCA,” MacLeish added. “It allows us to connect with our supporters, raise awareness about our mission, and secure vital funds for our ongoing conservation efforts in Otsego County.”
