Raising Barns: Past, Present and Future
Free barn talk, part of the Otsego 2000 Historic Preservation Series. Dr. Cindy Falk will explore connections between agriculture, buildings, and the historic landscape of central New York and argue that old barns still matter in the 21st century, even when their historic uses have faded. We also will get a chance to visit the agricultural landscape at Hyde Hall, including the “new” barn, and we will discuss what resources are available for private individuals who own and care for barns today.
Free event, donations welcome. Please register in advance https://www.otsego2000.org/events/raising-barns-talk or by calling 607/547-8881
