Springfield 4th of July Parade and Celebration
Join us on Tuesday, July 4th, for Springfield’s annual 4th of July Parade starting at 11:00am in Springfield Center!
This year’s parade theme is “Salute to Lady Liberty”. Follow the parade to the Springfield Community Center for a patriotic celebration with Brooks’ chicken barbecue, live music, Springfield Historical Society Open House, 4th of July Quilt Show, 4-H farm animals, raffles, and much more. Free Parade Parking is available at the Springfield Community Center. Established in 1914, Springfield’s 4th of July Parade is one of the oldest Independence Day Parades in the Country, welcoming fire departments, veterans’ groups, and community organizations from all over the region to be honored in our nearly hour-long parade featuring floats, marching bands, equestrians, and all kinds of surprises.
After the parade and celebration in Springfield Center, head to the beach at Glimmerglass State Park for a free evening concert featuring the Council Rock Band starting at 7:30pm, followed by a display of fireworks at dusk.
