The Annual Gathering of the Otsego Lake Association
The arrival of harmful cyanobacteria/algal blooms (HABs) last summer underscores the importance of the Otsego Lake Lake Association’s Mission to educate, advocate, and actively participate in protecting the health, beauty, and well being of Otsego Lake by facilitating the implementation of the Otsego Lake Watershed Management Plan.
The Annual Gathering of the Otsego Lake Association is free and open to the public – you do not need to be a member of OLA to attend.
The main topics this year include an update on the harmful algae blooms (HABs), lake water quality, fishing, no wake zone buoys, presentation of awards, plus scientific research posters presented by SUNY Oneonta biology students.
The gathering will be held in the open air pavilion at the Otsego Sailing Club located at 5992 State Highway 80 about 2 miles north of Cooperstown. There is plenty of free parking.
Coffee and treats plus the start of the silent auction begin at 8:30 AM. The meeting and presentations begin at 9:00 AM and will conclude no later than 11:00 AM.
Full program details are available on the OLA website at http://www.otsegolakeassociation.org/.”
We are looking forward to the opportunity to engage with a broader spectrum of those who benefit from a healthy watershed.
