The Cooperstown Art Association is happy to announce the beginning of three new exhibits set to begin on May 21, 2021. In Gallery A, the 30th Annual ESSENTIAL ART Regional Juried Show will be on display, along with Wild Things – Wild Places by David Kiehm in Gallery B, and the Cooperstown Central School Art Exhibit in Gallery C!
ESSENTIAL ART is a juried art show celebrating the talents of artists residing in New York State. The jurors this year are Jane Carr & Bruce Goddard. These two talented judges will select artwork to create a show that is truly outstanding! ESSENTIAL ART will be on display through June 23rd in Gallery A.
David Kiehm, the Grand Prize Winner of the 2019 Regional Juried Art Show, will be presenting a solo show, Wild Things – Wild Places in Gallery B. Kiehm is an internationally acclaimed wildlife artist, who has frequently partnered with the CAA to teach classes in watercolor and illustration. Of his work, he writes, “It is important for me as an artist to not only intrigue but inspire through my work. A spark of wonder or a faint memory of an interesting encounter is all I can ask for from the viewer.” This exhibit will be on display through June 23rd in Gallery B.
The tradition of the Cooperstown Central School Art Exhibit continues with an exciting outpouring of talent for 2021, representing artwork by students K-12. Come and enjoy the students’ enthusiastic and creative expressions that will fill the upstairs ballroom gallery with color. Please note: The CCS Art Exhibit will only be on display through June 10th!
