Welcome to Cooperstown 607-547-9983

Trolley & Parking

Parking in Cooperstown is limited and paid parking is in effect Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day.

The Doubleday Field Parking Lot offers an all-day paid option for $14.

On street parking is limited to 2 hours in many locations and costs $2/hour in the downtown area.

Consider the trolley system as an alternative!

Trolley Parking

Park in one of our three free perimeter Trolley Lots and avoid driving in the congested downtown area of the Village.

Blue Lot: Off Route 28 just south of the Village of Cooperstown (traveling north from Oneonta, NY)

Red Lot: Off Route 28 North (Glen Avenue) at Maple Street (traveling south on route 28 from route 20)

Yellow Lot: On Route 80 at upper parking lot of Fenimore Art Museum (traveling south on Route 80 from Route 20)

Accessible parking is available in the Blue Lot and the Red Lot, and Village trolleys are ADA compliant and can accommodate mechanized and standard wheelchairs.

Trolley Schedule

  • Due to COVID-19, the Village of Cooperstown will not be operating the trolley during summer 2020. Paid parking is available in the Doubleday Field parking lot and in two-hour increments on the street. Larger RVs are encouraged to use the Red Lot, which is walkable to downtown and the Hall of Fame. We look forward to seeing you on the trolley again during the 2021 season.
